Since January 2026, Dr. Kerstin Stellermann-Strehlow has been offering trauma therapy support for parents, infants, toddlers, teenagers and adolescents in Lüneburg as part of the "rapid assistance" of the Trauma Network Lower Saxony (SGB XIV).
Victims of violent acts, e.g., physical, sexualized or technology-based violence, acts of terror or war.
Witnesses to acts of violence, if witnessing them has led to psychological damage (e.g., post-traumatic stress reactions).
Helpers, emergency and rescue workers who have been psychologically traumatized by experiencing an act of violence or disaster.
Relatives, survivors or those secondarily affected , if they suffer indirectly from the consequences of the event (e.g. parents of traumatized children).
No conviction or court trial is required.
Recognition is granted by the State Office for Social Affairs, Youth and Family of Lower Saxony – Department of Social Compensation.
Once approved, treatment can be provided by qualified therapists from the Trauma Network of Lower Saxony.
The costs are fully covered – there are no out-of-pocket expenses for those affected.
Dr. Kerstin Stellermann-Strehlow works with children and adolescents. She does not offer psychotherapy for adults.
The meetings take place in the premises of the German Child Protection Association Lüneburg eV in Lüneburg , by individual arrangement.

The German Social Code Book XIV (Social Compensation) regulates the support of people who have suffered physical or mental impairment as a result of an act of violence or a comparable damaging event.
The goal is to restore health, ensure participation and alleviate suffering – regardless of civil or criminal proceedings.
