"Specialized psychotrauma therapy with children and adolescents" 🇩🇪/🇬🇧
Since 2008, I have been teaching the DeGPT curriculum "Special Psychotrauma Therapy with Children and Adolescents" for therapists in private practice and clinics, together with colleagues. My seminars combine current scientific findings with over 20 years of national and international trauma therapy experience – from inpatient and outpatient work in Germany as well as from deployments in war zones and crisis areas, and from work with refugees or after disasters.
We recommend participating in the modules in chronological order.

Tf-CBT in children and adolescents has been recommended by the WHO since 2013 and in the AWMF guidelines for the treatment of traumatic experiences/PTSD since 2011.

Module 4/5 - Confrontational Methods: EMDR Child and Adolescent Psychiatry 🇩🇪
Lecturer: Dr. Kerstin Stellermann-Strehlow
EMDR for children and adolescents has been recommended by the WHO since 2013 and in the AWMF guidelines for the treatment of traumatic experiences/PTSD since 2019. The WBP confirmed the evidence in 2026.
As a certified EMDR KJ trainer (EMDR Europe), I have been training child and adolescent psychotherapists in EMDR since 2017 and offer the curriculum several times a year.
